POLYMER BANKNOTE RECYCLING ENTERS THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY

In line with UN Sustainable Development Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, Note Printing Australia recycles 100% of its polymer waste from its manufacturing process. This material is combined with the shredded waste from unfit polymer banknotes (as determined by the Reserve Bank of Australia) and from there is recycled into plastic pellets which are used to make a range of useful products that enter the circular economy.
