NPA PARTICIPATES IN FEARLESS MANUFACTURING EXPO FOR WOMEN

by Andrew Reynolds (Specialist Technical Trainer).  On 18 April 2024, NPA was an enthusiastic exhibitor at the Fearless Manufacturing Expo for Women in which our staff engaged in numerous conversations with women jobseekers and local high school students.  The event was hosted by the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union (AMWU) at the Broadmeadows Town Hall.  The event was also funded by the Victorian Government as part of their Women In Manufacturing strategy.

The expo demonstrated the exciting and emerging careers in the manufacturing industry to women of all ages. Through real conversations with people like NPA’s female employees, attendees gained a better understanding of career opportunities available in the industry and an insight into working life for women at NPA. Our organisation had an excellent presence at the event thanks to the efforts of some of the fantastic staff that work at NPA. I would like to thank the following staff for their assistance on the stand:

·         Ana Jankulova (Pre-Press)

·         Natalie Rotili (Print Hall)

·         Harneet Kaur (QC Lab)

·         Kojo Brown (HR Officer)

·         Igor Petrenko (Community Engagement Officer)

The next event is the VET Discovery Expo that will showcase industry pathways and will be held on Thursday 30 May at the Broadmeadows Town Hall.

Caption: Attendees were interested to hear from NPA’s women team members who accompanied our HR Officer Kojo Brown.  They are (L-R) Ana Jankulova, Natalie Rotili, and Harneet Kaur.
