NPA's Comprehensive Wellbeing Journey from 2022-24

With a dedicated focus on the health and wellness of its employees, NPA embarked on a comprehensive journey spanning three years.

2022: Initiating Wellbeing Programs

The inaugural year witnessed the introduction of various programs aimed at fostering physical and mental wellbeing. The Virtual Fitness Challenge saw active participation from 84 employees, resulting in heightened motivation and improved fitness levels. Additionally, the Skin Cancer Checks initiative detected suspected basal cell carcinoma and other concerning lesions, highlighting the significance of proactive health monitoring. Notably, NPA organised an "R U OK Day" event, where the wellbeing team hosted a barbecue and promoted mental health awareness, emphasizing the importance of seeking professional help when needed. This underscored NPA's commitment to supporting employee wellbeing in both physical and mental health domains.

2023: Expanding Wellness Horizons

In 2023, Note Printing Australia broadened its spectrum of wellbeing services to provide even greater advantages for its employees. Alongside existing offerings like Sleep Consultations and Nutritional Challenges, NPA introduced comprehensive Health Surveillance Programs. These initiatives equipped employees with a diverse array of resources to support their journey towards better wellbeing. The outcomes were tangible: improved sleep patterns, healthier nutrition habits, and the early detection of health issues through focused interventions and robust support structures. For example, following Sleep Consultations, four individuals were referred for further health assessments due to identified sleep issues. Similarly, skin checks in 2023 resulted in 13 duty of care letters, highlighting NPA's proactive stance on employee health. Additionally, eight duty of care letters were issued following Heart Health Checks, prompting employees to seek further evaluation and care.

2024: Advancing Wellbeing Initiatives

Looking ahead, NPA remains committed to advancing employee wellbeing with planned initiatives for 2024. These include Healthy Eating Week, Skin Checks, Heart Health Checks, Flu Vaccinations, and awareness campaigns for National Volunteer Week, World Environment Day, and National Day Against Bullying. By continually prioritising employee feedback and leveraging best practices, NPA aims to further enhance the health and wellbeing of its workforce.

Conclusion:  Wellbeing Excellence Enhances Our Culture and Strengthens Our Employee Value Proposition

NPA's wellbeing journey underscores its unwavering dedication to employee health and wellness and the virtuous circle of talented employees who are attracted to NPA’s work environment. By prioritising staff feedback, adopting evidence-based well-being practices, and fostering a culture of committee and workforce collaboration and inclusivity, NPA has established health and well-being as a strong and valuable contributor to its staff’s experience of the workplace. As NPA looks towards the future, it remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring that every individual has the support and resources needed to thrive in both their personal and professional lives.
