NPA CEO PRESENTS PERSPECTIVE ON THE FUTURE OF HIGH SECURITY PRINTING TO GLOBAL FORUM

Earlier this week, the International Association of Currency Affairs (IACA) held a webinar in which our CEO, Malcolm McDowell was one of four key industry players who were invited to present their perspective on the future of high security printing.

The core objective of the webinar was to bring awareness to the industry --particularly the central banks--of the key risks and challenges facing the banknote printers now and for the future and to discuss the implications, potential mitigations and opportunities to not only ensure a resilient and competitive banknote market, but to help ensure a future for cash. The other contributors were Marilou Arends (Canadian Bank Note Company), Wolfram Seidemann (G+D), and Nikki Strickland (DLR).

Each contributor was asked to describe the current status of the banknote printing market, the biggest changes they had seen in the last 10-15 years, and and how they see the industry evolving over the next ten years.  They were also asked to comment on what they viewed as the most significant future threat to banknote printing industry.
